Just a little page so you know who is behind this blog & having all these ridiculous adventures in this thing called life. Short version….
Houston, Texas may not be the most beautiful or glamorous place, but it is HOME!
I blog for me- for me to remember, for me to document, for me to cheerish, for me to meet new friends.
Blogging is my perfect online journal with the ideal place to share all the photos I take of my married life, travels, wine, puppies & marathon running.
I’m an engineer who can’t change her own tires, but works on cars for a living.
I prefer red over white wine most days, go running stupid early in the mornings, need both my PC and my Mac, would rather go fishing or play tennis than go shopping, and still don’t know how to properly drive a standard car.
The long version & a little more background…
Entering my 30s with a bang, I can’t wait to see what the next decade has in store for me. My 20s were absolutely awesome & I married to love of my life in a dream wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on February 11, 2007 (pre-wedding fun, rehearsal, ceremony, reception, details/crafts). Outside of work, most of my time is devoted to training for my yearly appearance at the Houston marathon, laughing at the shenanigans of my silly puppy dogs, being a total news and current events junkie, dabbling in photography, planning trips around the world & of course, chronicling my adventures on this blog. I’mI working my way through old photos & adding some flashback and history posts to document my life before the digital diary age.
A child of the 1980s, I was raised by two awesome parents & two amazing step-parents in Houston. My childhood included everything from gymnastics to girl scouts to camping trips with the Mom & Gram to volleyball through college. I spent two years at a small girls school in Georgia, where the best thing that happened was meeting my friend for life- Stephanie. Transferring back home to the University of Texas-Austin to finish my mechanical engineering degree, I started my sick obsession with 26.2 mile runs & fell in love with the beauty of the hill country. I landed the mother of all internships the year I graduated from high school & have been working there for more than a decade traveling around the country investigating car crashes.
