The absolute highlight of H’s trip to India was visiting the Taj Mahal.

Even though the road to Agra looked short, it was a crazy adventure to get to the Taj itself.

The entrance to the Tah Mahal itself is quite impressive. Can you spot the tiny monkey on the wall, guarding the place?

The group spent the night in Agra so they could awake early in the morning & get the best views before the crowds show up.

No pictures allowed inside Taj Mahal itself, but they took plenty outside. H said it was incredibly clean, everybody was very friendly, and that taking the private guided tour was worth it.

The Taj was hubby’s 4th wonder of the world that he has seen, and now he’s clamoring to see the other 3.

The Yamuna River runs beside the Taj and provides some spectacular views down the riverbanks to Agra Fort.

The inside of the Taj is a mausoleum where the mogul’s wife is buried. It is very tiny and only lit with natural light, and minarets were used for the Muslim calls to worship.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Trekking across the Southwest today from Lubbock to Albuquerque.
