India Part 5

Continuing with hubby’s India vacation, here are some photos from a south Indian coffee shop in Bangalore.  He said it was some of the best coffee he’s ever had.

He toured one of the few Hindu temples in India when he visited Somanathpur outside Mysore.

Just seeing his photos, I was really impressed with the level of detail on the ornate exterior.

All the art and  stone carvings are used for instructional purposes and to teach lessons- see the Kama Sutra guide on the lower left?

This was a neat historical site, even if all visitors are required to remove their shoes to tour it, like many other India sites.

Getting to their hotel Mysore was an adventure, as driving on the India roads is always a colorful & lively experience.

There were numerous shops & stores along the way offering fresh fruits & vegetables.

Driving in India is challenging & even the “best” roads are still nerve wracking for most drivers.

One quick stop was at a silkworm farm, where they grew on trees & were harvested to make beautiful saris.

He traveled with his friend & their family in a small little van, covering many bumpy miles & beautiful country side filled with tiny town, roadside markets, and wildlife.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: One lasts weekend to get all caught up before life kicks into high gear.
