India Part 3

The next day, while touring with friends, they visited the Katub Minar- a minaret which was used to call Muslims to prayer.

The complex was sprawling, but filled with intricate and beautiful structures.

They started building the structure over 900 years ago using red sandstone, and parts of it were still in surprisingly good shape.

The minaret is 237′ tall, and Hubby say his first elephant tour.

Next stop on the Delhi tour was the ruins at Humayun’s tomb.

Humayun’s tomb is also known as the mini-Taj and is from the 15th century.

Since the actual Taj Mahal is quite an extensive journey from Delhi, many people opt to see the this building instead, including President Obama.

GOOD  NEWS OF THE DAY: I love Saturdays at home hanging out with the hubby, doing domestic things, and getting caught up.
