India Part 1

Hubby visited India back in May on a business trip & he’s going to help me narrate these photos he took.  He flew into Delhi and his first exposure to Indian life was at this bazaar.

While waiting to meet up with his friends, he took a private tour around town & checked out some of the main sites, including the Jama Masjid mosque.

It was over 110 in Delhi while he was there, and most places required shoes to be removed, including this mosque.

His next stop was at the Red Fort from the 17th century, and served as a capital for the Moguls for many decades.

Inside the Red Fort were many more extravagant and beautiful buildings with incredible architectural details.

Temples abounded all around Delhi, and India gate was a monument to the country’s fallen soldiers before WW1.

He caught some daily life of India too, including playing (bathing) in the fountains and a neighborhood game of cricket.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Hubby is out of town & I get to spend all evening work on the new website.

  2. Probably not! :) There are so many other places on my TO SEE list & India just isn’t one of them. Hubby had a great opportunity because he was with locals & traveled with friends/family so he got a unique perspective on the country. It was a very eye-opening experience for him & he enjoyed it, but has no desire to go back.
