We slept in on Saturday morning & rolled out of bed when we were good and well ready. On our agenda for the day- get in a long run & see the Golden Gate Bridge. It happened that it was about 10 miles from our hotel to the far side & back again. We figured we could manage it & running together is one of our favorite things- it seemed less ridiculous than hiking down Pike’s Peak

The morning started out beautiful & clear near the hotel, running along all the parks & paths on the waterfront, but the fog started rolling in as we got closer to the bridge.

I only ran with my phone, so these are all just quick snaps. It was so surreal to be running across the Bridge, fog just steaming past us.

There wasn’t too much pedestrian traffic, so we had a easy run & the elevation getting up to the bridge wasn’t too bad.

It was so amazing seeing the San Francisco skyline in the distance, hearing the fog horns, and feeling the cold breeze as we ran in the clouds.

Such a fabulous experience & phenomenal way to see the Golden Gate Bridge. I just adore that I have a best friend who thinks these things are as awesome as I do & will fly across the country to run with me.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Made it to Atlanta and back to NYC in a night- too many planes!
