In a slightly miraculous fashion, I finished my July book early & I’m even blogging about it before the end of the month (barely).
Several bloggers that I follow raved about Let’s Pretend This Never Happened (Amazon) by fellow Houston blogger Jenny Lawson, who you can also call The Bloggess. I don’t actually read her blog on a regular basis before, but I do now. I wanted to support her, so I decided to buy the book & I usually enjoy memoirs. This book was no exception & I was laughing hysterically from the first page. Jenny has led such an unusual life that most people would think she was making up most of the outlandish stories in the book, except she has just enough photos to prove the insanity really happened to her. Following her abnormal (to say the least) childhood all the way through her teenage years into marriage had me laughing through almost every chapter.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Just a lazy Saturday at home getting ready for friends & family to share some of hubby’s culinary skills.
