The next day we wanted to do a wine tour of Chilean wines, so we hired La Bicicleta Verde to do a private tasting tour through the Casablanca wine valley- a gorgeous area in the mountains between Santiago and Vina del Mar on the coast.

Our first stop was at Veramonte Winery & Vineyards- a large and sprawling complex just off the main freeway. They had a lovely tasting room & we enjoyed trying a few different varietals.

I love all the twist-off tops on Chilean wines, and we heard some great stories about the history of wine from our driver, Mac. He was a phenomenal tour guide & loved talking global politics with him.

Ok, so yes this is a funny picture & it’s here because it’s accompanied by an equally funny story. Obviously, my new found love for yoga & photography required that I strike a pose when inspiration strikes me from being in such a beautiful place- like in front of a mountain or on the beach. Well, I was inspired, but stuck in a skirt, so my pose selection was a bit limited. I thought staff pose would be harmless enough & do little to embarrass my poor husband. This was all fine & dandy until we return to the car & our drives tells us he overheard some people thinking I was throwing up! It was just one of the many priceless memories from this trip…
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Woke up in just enough time this morning to let the puppies out before it started storming like crazy.
