Review: Finding Your Passion Work

Earlier this year, I started reading Molly Mahar’s Stratejoy and stumbled upon her Find Your Passion Work small-group coaching & workshop.  At the very last minute, I decided to sign-up and I”m so glad I did!  It was a 6-week interactive course in a small group of women that helped us drill down to finding what we were really passionate about doing with our lives.  We had a weekly call where we got some lovely inspiration from Molly & all shared what was going on in our lives.  I met some amazing other ladies who are dreaming big & diving into some incredible things in their lives, and it is great to chat with them in our Facebook group to encourage and support each other while keeping each other lovingly accountable at the same time.

Each week, Molly would give us exercise and homework that had us exploring out strengths, weaknesses, values, emotional response to our current situation and so many other things.  This was a wonderful process of self-discovery and just spending some quality time thinking about what brings me joy & where I want to move in the future with my job and career.   These aren’t easy questions with simple answers, but it is so worthwhile to examine what I’m doing with 8 hours of my life everyday.  I’ve been at my job for almost 10 years now & basically doing the same thing since the beginning. I was getting a bit restless and frustrated about some aspects of working, but taking a few weeks to examine why I was dissatisfied and how I could make small changes was so empowering and helped me develop a new, enthusiastic attitude towards my job.

The course requires quite a bit of work- not easy work, provocative thinking, soul searching, dig down deep, get clarity, and face your fears type of work.  You really get out of it as much effort and hard word as you put into it.  I filled several pages of my journal with things that really hit home to me & truths I want to take away from this course.  But in the end, it was so fun & so worth it to have confidence and a plan moving forth about how I can be happy, fulfilled, and doing the things I love the most & the jobs where I’m going to shine the most.

Even beyond my journal, I did lots of work online- writing, brainstorming, taking quizzes, doing soul work.  The class has been over for a few weeks now, but I’m seeing the impacts even more now that I’m moving forward with so many of the ideas we manifested and the confidence I obtained by knowing exactly what I want to do going forward.  I adore working with Molly- she is so fabulously encouraging, sweetly brilliant, and adorably beautiful on the inside and outside.  She offers tons of resources and other ways to get some of her goodness through other classes or coaching opportunities, interviews, and general inspiration on her blog.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: The universe has been seriously awesome lately- so many good things falling into place.

  1. That’s wonderful that this course helped you to look at your job in a new light, and help you set goals for the future. I’m always a goal setter, if I don’t have plans, I feel lost. :-)
