Sunday Scribblings #324 – Parent
Quite the appropriate topic for Father’s Day, and an easy one for me to write about as I have 5 awesome parents.
I was born with 2 loving parents, and acquired 2 more fabulous parents when I was in elementary school when my mom & dad both re-married 2 wonderful people who have been so foundational in my life over the last 25 years.
When I married H over 5 years ago, I was privileged enough to marry into another wonderful parent.
I can’t even imagine all the challenge, struggles,heartaches, and headaches that come with parenting. I’m certainly not ready for the challenge yet, but I know that I’ll have some amazing teachers helping me be hopefully as good a parent to my kids as they were to me.
I’ve spent most of the day celebrating with family today, so I this is going to be short. I could write volumes about both father’s in my life or all the parents, but I’ve done that numerous other times and places on the blog.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Spent all afternoon with family & was proud of the delicious meal husband & I prepared.
What a beautiful tribute, all the more so because you are blessed with so many parents. You are blessed with so many to love.
