Sunday Scribblings #323 – Costume

I don’t do dress up. Never been one for costumes. I always think they would be fun & dream about going to some big fancy Halloween party, but I always chicken out. I fully realize it’s some strange hangup that I have- maybe too self-conscious in a costume or outfit? I’m insanely jealous seeing everybody else prance around in adorable outfits or playing pretend for an evening. I have tons of photos of Dad & Brenda dressed in a variety of costumes throughout the 80s for parties every Halloween. My grandparents attended huge parties each Halloween & have some fantastic photos to prove it. My brother & sister have some pretty fabulous costumes from their childhood Halloweens, and we were watching a ton of them last week in my brother’s graduation slideshow.
I spent an hour off searching for Halloween photos. I had some from childhood I’d prepared for a blog post last year, I just realized it never got published! Guess you’ll have to wait until October to see them now.
I even put it on my 101 in 1,001 Days list & moved it over to my Life Menu of Awesome, but it just never seems to happen. Maybe this will be my lucky year…
Chatting clothes, my summer costume is a swimsuit or summer dress whenever I’m not at work. Flipflops or sandals finish off the outfit.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: A day full of church, writing, reading, baking, and family!

that’s a nice montage, great that you could get it so nicely organized
