As per our usual Mother’s day tradition, we cooked up a fabulous meal and had our even more fabulous moms (and grandma) over for lunch.
We love doing shrimp as an easy & delicious appetizer, and hubby’s experiement for the weekend was learning how to make deviled eggs. He was amazed at how quick & easy it was (after I helped out by boiling and peeling the eggs), and I decided to make some sauteed mushrooms since I know my mom loves them.
Seeing as we had tons of fish still from our Good Friday fishing trip, we decided to grill that up and John brought over some BBQ ribs.
The fish came out delicious on the grill & we also tossed on some asparagus for a side dish. After the thousands of meals our moms have cooked us over the years, it felt great to be able to serve them a delicious meal to honor them on Mother’s Day.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: My favorite aunt & uncle are headed into town late tonight.
