Hunter’s Prom

Short of graduating, the Senior Prom is probably one of the biggest events during your last year of high school.  Although my brother isn’t officially dating anybody, he asked a lovely young lady in his PALS class by planning an elaborate sign with flowers.

Prom was a weekend ago, and I was lucky enough meet up with him and his group of friends Friday as they headed off to a weekend of extraordinary activites.

We snapped a few quick photos of the family in their backyard before heading over to a nearby neighborhood to meet up with the other 9 kids that were riding together in the limo to dinner and then the dance.

Despite a strict time schedule, almost everybody was (very) late.  We stood around in the shade, trying to keep cool, & trying not to get too nervous about seeing the ladies.

Finally, everybody started showing up with their parents taking mad photos as they struggled to get corsages attached properly.

Hunter’s date, Sally, has the best smile & most infectious laugh- they were quite excited for the action packed weekend ahead of them.

My brother loved his birthday dinner so much, he decided to return to Flemmings & they had a huge all-night party at Dave & Buster’s from midnight till 6AM for Project Prom.

After they crashed a few hours at my parent’s house, they all headed down to Galveston for the weekend to hit up the beach & then Schlitterbahn on Sunday.

All in all, quite the successful event & I think my brother had an epic weekend filled with amazing memories.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Headed to Alabama this evening for work- excited to get out of the office again!

  1. Hello, I’m visiting from SITS Spring Fling. You have a gorgeous blog and these pictures are great. What a beautiful setting for pictures and an eventful prom. We haven’t been to Schlitterbahn in awhile but we keep trying to plan a visit back now that we’ve got 3 kids who are part fish in the summer. I really enjoyed this post.

Thanks for stopping by! I haven’t been to Schlitterbahn since I was a child- I’d love to go back, but I’m a baby about fighting big crowds during the summer.
