SS: Wild

Sunday Scribblings #318 – Wild

I wouldn’t under normal circumstances, consider myself wild, unless I’ve had a few martinis.  I will concede that my high school years could very easily be characterized as wild, although I survived and have some great stories from those years in my life.

Interesting that ll the photos are of animals and just 2 images of people.  I didn’t think it would be that big of a deal to go on safari in South Africa, and that animals in the wild wouldn’t be that much different than seeing them at a zoo.  I was totally wrong seeing powerful lions, gorgeous giraffes , and incredible elephants.

If I had an extra 6 hours to spend reading, I’d buy all the back issues of Wild Sister and leisurely stroll through their pages of lovely images and inspiring words.

Stopping to reflect on where I was last May, it’s been a wild ride these last 12 months.

I get a little antsy when I’ve been looked indoors, hanging out too much in the urban jungle.  I love getting out into nature, waking through the trees, enjoying the view from the mountaintops, lowering my blood pressure as I listen to waves lapping on a shoreline.

I can’t believe my baby brother is 18 years old and heading off to college in a few months- THAT is wild!

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Been such a good weekend- lots of catching up, relaxing, lovely dinners, quality time with hubby & naps.

  1. I LOVE your comment about antsy in the urban jungle! Oh, I can relate and there is that ever-present call from nature just to come play. I can also relate to your comment being on the wild side of the tracks. While I wouldn’t change any of it, I do look back and think, “Oh, crazy girl” every so often.

Cheers to lovely weekends with relaxing and QT with your husband and naps!

    Happy seeing beautiful!
