Sunday Scribblings #302- Tribe

Looking at the definition, I see it’s more than just Indians (as Google image search indicates).
I think I like the definition- Social groups. I have my family, husbuand+puppies, and then my parents+siblings who I am fairly close with. I have my running group, who all rocked the Houston marathon today! I am part of a few online groups- a politics & current events forum for women and a photography board, who I met up with in Colorado ealier this year. My online experience with Tribe is through a 30 day challenge I did with the SITS girls where we were assigned to tribes- I went with the travel/international group & that’s how I met the amazing missionary Amy in Africa.
I’m trying to get to know more young, professional women in Houston through blogger meet-ups & chats, even going to do some drinking and trivia with lovely ladies tomorrow night. I follow a ton of other Houston bloggers
In larger circles, I finally created a page for my blog on Facebook at Click. The Good News, waste a ton of time in Pinterest, finally gaven into Instagram & am doing better about being on twitter. I’m working on updating the blog laster this spring & need to add quick click buttons for these things.
Interesting that many of the tribe pictures above are all about fighting & protection. Maybe that’s what we need in a tribe- people that are our friends & defenders, who are willing to stick by your side. My best girlfriend Stephanie is hundreds of miles away, but we are certainly each other’s biggest cheerleaders.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Finished another Houston marathon & took almost 30 minutes off my best Houston time!
