Costa Rica Mission Trip

One of the many blog posts I am trying to get up before I officially close out 2011 is the mission trip that my brother & sister took to Costa Rica this summer.

It just so happened that we were finishing up our Costa Rica vacation & passed by them at the airport in Liberia as they were headed in to work with a local church.

They had an absolute blast- both volunteering at VBS, working at the church & doing some exploring at the beach.

I’m so glad that they have such incredible opportunities as high school students to both see the world, share the Gospel and  visiting places where they can learn to appreciate the many blessings they have at home.

It wasn’t all hard work- they did a day of zip lining and also hanging out at the beach.

Accidentally stuck a concert picture in with the mission trip photos, but it was from this summer too.

I love seeing all the little happy faces & smiling children- especially the way that my brother & sister connected with them.

My brother has applied to colleges & is seriously considering studying religion and going into the ministry.

They are already talking about going back next year, but my brother is even considering raising funds to make it on our church’s Africa mission trip to visit some orphanage we support.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Made it back to the gym for weights this morning for the first time in many, many months.
