Stephanie and I had no real plans during my brief visit to Philly, so one night decided to stay in and bake a red velvet cake she needed for her school’s baking contest.
In their tiny loft, I sat at the bar and watched in wonder as she made everything look so simple with her trusty iMac and a recipe she found online.
It wasn’t so much about the cookies or teaching me how to bake, I just wanted to hang out with my best friend while she did her magic.
It was one of the things on my Life Menu of Awesome as I really would love to acquire more kitchen skills. I am so impressed with all of her baking skills- both the variety & how often she finds time to bake in her busy schedule.
