Father Daughter Dance

Although I’d already seen my sister perform her drill team routine earlier this year, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a day game (much better pictures) and for seeing my dad doing his best Elvis impersonation during the father-daughter routine.  This game was at the enormous Berry Center that I’ve flown over before & attended a graduation ceremony, but never been inside the stadium portion.

It was also their Senior Day & the father’s of the senior cheerleaders had to be out on the field with them cheering & dancing.

Since it was the weekend of Halloween, the other school’s drill team performed a very cool Ghostbuster/Thriller routine.

Then our girls came out & performed a brief dance before they each had their father (or a friend) join them out on the field, dressed as Elvis.

This routine was seriously priceless!  The whole audience was laughing hysterically and loving every minute of the music montage.

My dad’s white goatee was easy to spot among all the identical girls and jet black wigs on the field.

Yea, I took a ton of pictures- I had no idea which ones would be good shots & they all crack me up!

Reminds me I need to dig out the adorable photos of Haley & my dad dancing at my wedding almost 5 years ago- they are pretty awesome too.

Dad totally complained about all the evening practices & the outfits, but he was so cute and nervous about it before hand and really had a blast out there dancing on the field and being a big ol’ ham.

I tried to take video, but obviously couldn’t take photos at the same time.  I had a real hard time finding them on the field using the LCD when the video was going, so I mostly stuck to photos.

Here’s another real short one with me moving all around trying to see them & find them on the field.

Too stinkin’ cute!  They had a great time & the father’s even sat in the bleachers with their daughters for the rest of the game.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t post at least 1 football picture- I really enjoy getting out there with my camera & the challenge of getting a few great shots.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Holiday dinner with Grandpa at the nursing home tonight.
