Got a few more pictures from our family trip to Dever that I need to get on the blog- so much to wrap up before this year is over! We went out to dinner most nights & I love this picture that I took of mom & John.

Sue & Don are so precious- a drink with every dinner ! I hope I am still doing that at 85!

Saturday before the marathon, it snowed- a LOT! It wasn’t sticking or accumulating around our part of town, but several places around Denver had a few inches of snow. I was very glad we didn’t have to run in these conditions & the weather ended up being perfect for the race on Sunday.

My family traveled to Denver frequently as a child and this will probably be Gram’s last trip to Denver due to her health and mobility issues. We spent time at Sue & Don’s house just hanging out and visiting. I’ve been lucky enough to get up there and visit them often over the last few years.

Uncle Don is really slowing down in his late 80′s, but still hanging in there. They have 2 year old dog that keeps them pretty entertained now.

I love looking at all the old memories he has around the house. He was a proud Marine serving in Iwo Jima and utterly loves Sue and the 55+ years they have been married.

I have many fond memories of his backyard with his beautiful garden and rose bushes, tons of squirrels running around, an enormous old tree, and great views.

Although I took a few photos of Downtown Denver when I picked up my packed for the Rock n Roll Marathon, I managed to grab a few more post-race as we walked back to the car through this art area.

They had some really cool sculptures and beautiful buildings in this area- wish I had more time & energy to explore and photography, but my legs were begging me to sit down and take off my shoes after 26 miles.

Last but not least is this super cool building where I caught some wicked sun flare with my tiny P&S camera was I was stumbling to the car from the finish line. Yea, I stopped right in the middle of the street and admired this majestic building and, capturing one of my potential photo favorites for the year.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Marathon week- San Antonio here I come on Friday!

That’s the art museum by Daniel Libeskind!
He’s one of my favorite architects… Great photos as usual!!
Thanks- glad to know what it is! It’s on my list of places to check out more thoroughly next trip.
