Almost a month late, but I am determined to get them up on the blog- even if they are some of the most off-colored photos I’ve taken! Unfortunately, her birthday fell on a Wednesday this year & both weekends before and after were jam packed with school and church activities. The family decided to go out for her birthday dinner on Tuesday & it was questionable if I was going even make it back in time from Kansas. Luckily I did & we had a lovely evening celebrating with her boyfriend Will.
Haley is doing awesome this year! School is under control, she’s having a blast in drill team, she’s smitten with her adorable boyfriend, and life is generally really really good for her right now.
Will is adorable! He’s a musician in a band and can play the piano quite well. I attempted a video of his showing off his classical music skills, but my new P&S camera failed me. Haley had to show him how to play the Happy Birthday tune and it reminded me of how I have to tell my fluent in Spanish husband the days of the week in Spanish.
We had a lovely family dinner at Outback and share some family traditions: Haley always gets lobster, birthday cards & written notes are always read aloud, the men drink Cube Libres, the family shares a blooming onion, and there’s at least 2 conversations going on at any given moment.
No big party like years past, but she did go down to the Kemah Boardwalk with a few friends and spent a beautiful day riding rides and having fun. I was in Colorado this weekend, so I was only able to steel a few photos from her Facebook page. Will bought her a sweet ring, flowers and an adorable inflatable pig for her birthday to school.
Since this post is all about Haley, I grabbed a few drill team photos that have been taken of her the past few weeks. Having danced for years, the technical part of drill team is easy, but learning to work with so many other girls and be part of a team has brought its challenges for her.
Yes, this is a photo of a photo & I’m happy to have it! Gotta love official cheesy photos, but I took tons of her at the game this week and will hopefully have those posted in less than a month!
