Coors Field in Denver

July 4th weekend, hubby set out to see another baseball stadium- this time Coors Field in downtown Denver.

I really do adore urban baseball parks- where the cities buzz with activity in the bars, pubs and restaurants surrounding the stadium on game day.

I honestly didn’t get much of a de-brief from his trip since we went full speed into our other July 4th weekend plans, so I’m stuck posting pictures without any stories to go along.

And also it was almost 2 months ago & I am trying to get back to all the posts & photos I missed out on.   He was planning on visiting another stadium in Kansas last weekend, but some other life crises came up at the last minute.  I think he is done with stadiums for this season & will have to plan better next year to get a few more stadiums.  Oh, and his work has forced us to cancel our San Fran trip for Labor day (MAJOR BUMMER!), so no Giants stadium either this year.

Since it was a super short trip, they didn’t get to do much sightseeing & I can’t believe he missed seeing the gorgeous Colorado capitol building, but I”m glad that he wants to go back again.

Hubby did much better with his photos this time & even snagged me a one of my favorite things- a clock!  And a very neat one at that.

It looks like a really pretty park & I’m more than bummed that I couldn’t make the trip with him- especially since they have a mini-forrest in the outfield.

They were at the game waaay early since they’d finished up their brewery tour & just walked downtown to the game.

My only consolation about missing this trip is that I’ve got 2 trips of my own to Denver this fall & I’m super-excited to get up there in the  mountains (September ) for some photography & visit with family for the Denver marathon (October).

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY:  Meeting up with some awesome Houston blogging gals this afternoon for wine!
