One of the things included in our stay at Los Altos was a zip lining tour in the jungle. They offer this activity all over Costa Rica, but we waited to do it in Tamarindo since it was included with our package.

Strap into another harness, buckle on a hat, clamp onto the line & away we went through the jungle tops. We were with another family of 4 & 2 guides on (I think) 7 zip lines back and forth across the river.

There was one line that you could ride double with a guide & do a “Superman” (no hands!) and I took the video below.
One of the line actually went right below a howler monkey sitting on a branch below us & we saw that large iguana above. It was fun, but not nearly exciting as the rappelling that we had done in La Fortuna. It was a cool experiences (minus the bugs), but probably not something I’d likely do again somewhere else unless they have some super-spectacular lines. It was a nice afternoon outing, but I wish we’d spent our time doing something a little more unique to the area that we couldn’t do other places.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Camera is back from the shop & I have a super-awesome new lens!!!

Wow that looks like a blast! All your adventures helped me decide I needed to be more adventurous which is why I was looking up ziplining, etc, on my vacation in May.
