Back in downtown San Jose, the driver would let us out and circle the block as we walked through several town squares and beautiful buildings like this church.

A very large monument/gazebo area in the center of town square and their Central Park is the center of activity as traffic and pedestrians flocked around the area.

Since we were alone (except the birds) we took turns taking pictures of each other as I tried to ration the photos on my dying camera battery.

One of the oldest and most prestigous hotels in San Jose & also where JFK stayed during his presidential visit.

Although this was a very quick overview type of tour, one of the really neat things was the historic National Theater.

The inside was absolutely stunning & I even liked the architecture around back that you could enjoy from a wide open plaza.

For the life of me, I can’t remember this building. I do know that the bullet holes in the tower are some of the last in the country, as Costa Rica officially disbanded it’s army several decades ago and has effectively no national defense.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: The course for the Denver Rock n Roll has been revealed and it’s my first RnR that is a loop

What a neat looking town!
