Lake Crescent

We didn’t really have time to do any more exploring around the park after leaving Hurricane Ridge & taking a walk, but we did decide to stop by a little park called Crescent Lake just on the north edge of the park.

A short walk from the parking lot, through a field of flowers, was a gorgeous lake- cold, deep and colorful.

I *LURVE* this photo- so simple, so stark, the endlessness of it a few simple daisies making the world a more beautiful place.

I think the waters in the lake got deep quickly, but by the shore there was a beautiful array of greens floating in the water.

You could camp at this park & there were some brave souls headed out on the water in their boats on this chilly and very windy day, but we stopped just long enough to enjoy the majestic view of the mountains towering over Crescent Lake.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY:  Just booked tickets to do some behind the scenes tours at Minute Maid Park next month.
