Misc Seattle

The rest of my time in Seattle was spent with family who lives in Tacoma, running the marathon & then taking a day trip to Olympic National Park.  I didn’t really do much exploring of downtown Seattle, but did manage to get a few random things- like the Convention Center that sits atop the freeway.

My family has a great house & on the clear days, you can see Mt Rainier in the distance.  Please don’t mind my horrid photoshop job on this picture- I was trying to darken the sky so you could see the peak in the distance.

The zoom lens came min handy and provided me with a great view on one clear evening.  I didn’t get to see it on my last visit, but we were blessed with a few clear days in late June.

As we were leaving Olympic NP (lots of photos to come still….), I caught this great view of Mt. Baker in the Cascade Range in the distance.

From my vantage point on the mountain, I could see the coast and Dungeness Bay- with it’s tiny sliver of land protecting a harbor full of marine life.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY:  Back to yoga this morning- I’ve missed it the  last few weeks.
