For our actual Forth of July celebrations, we invited H’s cousins and aunt over to swim at my mom’s while we grilled the up some burgers and hot dogs. Let’s just say that 5 boys, 2 dogs, 1 husband and dozens of toys makes a full pool.

The water guns were exceedingly popualar- both with the boys and with Mia. We’ve known the boys for a few years now & they are growing up! Their ages are 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15 ( I think).

Lots of splashing, lots of swimming lessons, a few races, boys chasing each other, Mia chasing the boys, dogs paddling and chasing toys and splashes- pretty much pure chaos!

They had a blast and we had so much fun watching them play for hours. I thought they would never get tired.

Then the nerf balls came out where we tried to convince them not to hit each other in the face too hard. Zoe was swimming all over looking for her water bugs & then they discovered the throwing/jumping game off each other.

Carmen even got in the water and did some swimming with them- I don’t see how she has the energy to keep up with 5 boys.

It was great seeing them all laugh and play, then feeding them tons of food. It’s great when we can spend time with family for the holidays and we hope to do it more in the future.

This is supposed to be a animated GIF, but I’m not sure I saved it correctly on my new computer. Carmen threw the boys- even the older ones lots of times while they perfected their flipping skills.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Had an amazing time in Costa Rica, but so glad to come home today.

Wow, that is a full pool, but everyone looked they were having a great time.
We sure were! Thanks for stopping by.
So much fun! The picture of Mia flying in the air into the pool is so good!
