After working/traveling for 2 crazy weeks, I was excited to finally be on an airplane for fun & on my way to a weekend getaway in Washington. I knew it was going to be a great trip when I glanced out the window and saw this rainbow. We have been SOOO behind on rain in the area & I was glad to see some parts of town getting rain.
Flying north out of town, we flew over this massive construction zone- which I think will be the new headquarters for Exxon. I do think that if we stay in the Houston area long-term, I’d be looking to move to this side of town with all its beautiful trees.
And of course the swanky mall and enormous houses!
Continuing north, we flew past Forth Worth & I was surprised at how green and how many trees surrounded the city.
Leaving Texas, we got into the interesting things- like thousands of various colored crop circles just off the edge of a little windy river.
And finally mountains! So excited to see a tiny bit of snow still on the first of many mountains on my trip.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: One full day in Houston & then more travels ahead.
