30 Days of Lists, Part 1

Back in March, I came across a creative writing project that was in progress with a daily list.  Loving lists & looking to spend a little time doing some that would give me a slightly creative outlet.  I started following along with 30 Days of Lists about mid-way through and loved the idea of a daily prompt to focus on something outside of the ordinary.  A mini-journal or daily diary for a quick snapshot of my thoughts and ideas during one particular month in my life.

Since there are 30 topics, I’ll break them up into 2 posts to share a few random facts and tidbits.  Click on any of the links to go to the webpage for that day & see some of the awesome creations by other bloggers.  This was a great writing project for a non-writing and I enjoyed spending a few minutes a day reflecting on the topic.

List 30 To Do &   List 1 A Few Things About Yourself

The group started out on day 1 sharing an intro list & many people took photos of their lists and put them in the group Flickr pool.  There were so many unique and beautiful lists- gorgeous papers, cute drawings, beautiful colors, and lots of fun and funky.  My day 1 list included lots of adjectives and facts about me.

List 2 Things I Am Good AtList 3 I Am Looking Forward To

Day 2 continued the getting-to-know-you theme with things that you are good at & this prompt required some self-reflection.  List 3 was more fun and included lots of good things coming up for me in April.

List 4 Today’s Playlist &  List 5 Weekend Goals

Playlist was a fun prompt as I’ve been really trying hard to expand my iTunes library (even some new favorites in the last few months I could add to that list).  List 5 could also be a typical TO DO list on any day, but I’m so sad that every weekend doesn’t include watching Mad Men.  I can’t wait for the next season!

List 6 Least Favorite Words &  List 7 Blog Goals

I totally skipped on List 6 as why would I want to write any words I didn’t like?   I honestly don’t feel passionate hate towards any words off the top of my head.  I loved how list 7 was a blog focused, and I’m glad to say I’m doing pretty good on most of those goals.  Perhaps I should have added work on my camera focus skills….

List 8 In My BagList 9 Favorite Websites/Blogs

I actually have a tiny purse, but still manage to get quite a few things jammed in there.  There are so many favorite websites & I usually have 15+ tabs open in 2-3 browsers any moment I am on a computer.   I do have to give a huge shout-out to Google Reader since it lets me read hundreds of pages and blogs so easily.  If you still don’t use a feed reader, PLEASE PLEASE go check out this post to find out how your life can be easier.

List 10 Wishlist List 11 Date Night Ideas

It’s cool looking back at my wishlist from a few months ago- I did find some lovely new jewelry & did get into the NY marathon.  Just started invisalgin and ordered several books for our vacation.  I loved the date ideas for List 11 & I’m glad we get to do so many date nights.

List 12 Weekly Rituals &  List 13 DIY’s I Want to Try

My work and travel schedule make any type of real routine impossible week to week, but I do try to keep up with a few things.  So sadly, as much as I love seeing other people’s DIY’s, I’m just not a crafty person.  I have bought a few supplies for some random projects & I did complete the very simple calendar journal, but I really have no desire or time to get hands on.

List 14 Things I Love About List 15 On My Shopping List

I’m usually not a total Apple lover, but I’d just given H his iPad for his birthday & was just amazed by it.  The whole company is so remarkable and I really can’t think of anything I’d rather have than my iPhone/iMac.  List 15 is a pretty typical shopping list- mostly food or groceries that I get from Kroger or Walmart.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Hubby is in Denver checking out the micro-brews downtown and then the baseball stadium.
