The next stop on our whirlwind tour of San Diego was the famous Coronado Club on Coronado Island (which is more like a penninsula than an island). The beautiful old property and its beaches are often listed as some of the most beautiful. The old-world charm and grandeur of the architecture made it a favorite for weddings and other events.

We sat out on the deck over-looking the bustling beach & ordered lunch and 1 pre-race frozen drink. Half of the “island” is a very large military base & the other half is a charming seaside community with weekend homes and dozens of shops.

We did eventually wonder down to the water’s edge & it was CHILLY! Only a few brave kids were in the water, but everybody was enjoying the beautiful weather & gorgeous views of the surrounding coastline.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Happy Birthday to Gram!
