This was the best part of my weekend! Late Sunday afternoon, as the heat of the day was just starting to die down & all the chores had been done. I’d packed my bags, gone dress shopping, cleaned my rod & reel for fishing next weekend and it was time to hang out with the pups. Mia has always been a swimmer & has been in the pool for months already. Though Zoe has been swimming for years, she’s much more likely to wait for one of us to swim with her & certainly is anxious to swim with Mia- who had tended to swim on top of her. This past Sunday, I was able to get her in the pool and swimming with Mia. It was good to see my 9 year old “first born child” playing like a puppy again. She wasn’t doing her victory laps around the pool and making the giant jumps like she used to do (and Mia still does every 2 minutes), but she was in the pool and playing. It was great to hang out with my mom & John, laugh at Mia’s absolute silliness and see Zoe “digging” for her torpedo again, soak up the sun and be refreshed in the cool water. I’ve got lots more photos from the day, but I loved that I got both pups doing their thing in this video and I’m looking forward to a fabulous summer filled with many more happy puppy days in the pool.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Hubby is off on a big trip too- Nashville and New York city.

I love Mia’s big jump into the pool and how she almost appears to hang in mid-air. Ella is totally not a water dog and we need to get Tucker over to the dog park that has ponds and see what he thinks about it all.
That is too cute! I love how she’s splashing around
My dog has never been in water before, it looks like it’s fun time for the puppies.

Thanks! I can’t imagine any Vizsla not loving the water! Zoe doesn’t swim *as* much as she did when she was a pup because she hates sharing the pool with mia (who admittedly did try to swim on her several times the last few summers). I bet Tucker will have a blast- especially if there are other dogs there swimming.
