Azaleas

As spring sprung around my house, I found myself sitting outside every afternoon before the summer heat rolled in.  One day, I noticed all my azaleas had bloomed & I felt really bad for them that the previous owners had chosen to prune them into a square shape- who does that!??

I thought I’d practice a bit more with photos, but cameras have such a difficult time with over-saturating reds (pinks/purples).  The winds on this day didn’t help the situation, but it was neat to get up close and appreciate all the intricate details in the pattern on the petals.

Not the greatest photos- it’s hard doing macros!  But I still enjoyed seeing things larger than life and taking a closer look at them.

One of the buses was a lighter pink on the petals & you could really see the shimmer and iridescence with the sun shining on them.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: One last reprieve from summer heat- it’s supposed to be in the 50 degrees tonight.

GORGEOUS pictures! I totally disagree with the “not the greatest” part of your post – I think they turned out fabulous. :)
