This picture was taken ever so slightly more than 31 years ago as my mom decided it would probably be better if she skipped that last Astro’s game. I’ve posted a few childhood photos, mostly when I was a bit older being a water baby & my early years as a tree hugger.
Today is my 31st birthday & quickly checking the archives, I don’t think I’ve ever actually posted on my birthday before & I wanted to celebrate by digging up some old baby photos. Bless my dear mom for all the studio shots I have from my first years.
Check out the bells on my shoes & the awesome fake backgrounds. The red tint was all the rage in this era too, but Lightroom helped me out with the white balance and fixing them somewhat.
I think I really like the casual, real photos better than the professional ones. I like all the memories of the things in those photos- from the people to the blankets and homes that each of these photos remind me of all those details.
I was a bit sick my first year & spent some time behind bars (in the hospital cribs). I really adore this photo of my dad- dark, full beard & still wearing glasses before his RK surgery, with my great-grandpa who I had the joy of knowing the first 20 years of my life.
I also love checking out all the precious clothes- so light & fun.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: So lucky that my birthday falls on a Saturday & we have amazing weather today- going to have a big Caribbean celebration with friends tonight to celebrate all the April birthdays.
