I was under the weather most of the weekend & didn’t get a chance to process any more recent photos or put together any advance blogs. Since I need something quick & easy for today, I figured it would be a great time to bust out this photo of me petting an enormous albino buffalo at a used car lot in Madison, South Dakota. This was actually taken in December of 2009 on a work trip & was my first trip to the state. Sadly, we were on the eastern side, which is pretty flat & not nearly as beautiful as the hilly, badlands western part of the state.

My boss was with me, but I hid him since I don’t have his permission to post this picture. The striking thing about the town was the amount of pheasant hunting. Apparently, our hotel, the one without internet & where I didn’t even have cell service, offered complimentary freezers to store all the birds you had killed. However, they had a very strict set of rules taped to the front door about all the feathering/labeling/bagging requirements if you were going to be bringing fowl into the hotel. So- there’s my totally random, South Dakota story!
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Survived today at work- which capped over a crazy week & hopefully stress levels will subside.

That’s so strange!!! The birds in the freezer I mean!!!
