I’ve shared some of his baby photos before, but I thought Hunter’s 17th birthday was a great excuse for another flashback Friday & a few more old photos. He’s always been so handsome & adorable, from his days at An Essential Wedding Accessory to being King of the Beach, especially on his 3rd birthday (as Brenda holds Haley in the background) and with a fish that’s almost as big as him. Don’t forget to notice his boots! See, we start them young around here.

I think most of these photos were from 1998, where my brother was 3 and my sister was roughly 2. I adore the first one at my grandparents house for capturing a memory of PLACE. I spent so many, many of my days in that living room- with those couches and the deer head and that computer game and that rocking chair (that I actually now own) and the breakables and the fake plants. They are just too cute & sweet in that photo, but they have always been great together.

These photos are courtesy of Hunter’s 8th birthday in 2002, when a lemon cake & a bouncy house were all it took for a great party. He so doesn’t look 8- maybe I have the year wrong, but I think there are 8 candles there (though the flame is out on one of them). Love that my sister is rocking the awesome hair- you can tell they were playing hard in the inflatable.

From his youngest days, he was involved in sports & continued playing baseball through junior high & joining the wrestling team in high school, where he earned his letter jacket his freshman year. Above photos are from 19909 & bring back some great memories. Brenda won that Pinball machine when *I* was a baby & they still have it in the gameroom. The kids have always played so well with each other & are still super close. It was about this time that they started an annual tradition of spending a week in Galveston every summer.

He is again on a friendly basis with the girl he took to homecoming, but swears they aren’t dating (again, yet). Above, he is being inducted into the National Honor Society & hanging out with friends (look at all those girls!).

He is super-active in our church & leading FCA and his own bible study at school. They do tons of stuff- camps & exciting weekends with the youth group & have a great network of friends.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: It’s a gloriously beautiful Friday & I’ve managed to sit outside at least an hour most afternoons this week, even if it was working.
