Times Square at Night

We headed back to our hotel, the Doubletree Times Square, and ended up walking the area from one end to another.  Times Square is simply larger than life- there’s no other way to describe it or place like it (in the US).

Being there with my best friend & the excitement of the next few days had us all jazzed up for some fun.

The ads are stacked high upon each other, their constant motion & ever changing messages are memorizing and at times, over-whelming.  Although Times Square is impressive during the day, the place is electric at night.  The crowds out to explore the most brilliant corner in Manhattan, the lights shine brighter on the hundreds of ads & the neon comes alive in the dark.

I’d actually stayed in TS for work before, but this was the first time I’d explore all the theaters on the side-streets, peek into the little restaurants and bars teeming with people & soak up the whole New York City experience.

One of the really cool displays is this GIGANTIC live camera that shows all the people on the street.  There are hundreds of people staring at it, acting goofy and waving at themselves at any given moment.  I of course, took a picture of us on the big BIG screen.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: My husband is rocking it & getting some huge new clients and big projects.
