The day after Christmas, on Sunday, all our friends gathered at our house to celebrate the holidays & drink/eat a weee bit more! I’d spent weeks purchasing snacks for our wine-down dinner- cheese, meats, nuts, boiled shrmip, cookies, fudge, crackers & I even made some bruschetta and meatballs.
Liz’s twin sister Laura was in town & they were a riot to hang out with together. We all pulled up a chair around the giant island & started telling stories.
One thing led to another and another and another glass of wine, and we were all having a blast catching up on the holidays.
All the lovely ladies! Since the photo, Savanha & Matt became engaged!
We finally let the dogs out & Mia was putting on her usual show. H busted out his old photo album for a stroll down memory lane back to high school days.
I shared this seat with Mia for about 5 seconds before I fell off- no you can’t see that photo!
We borrowed some cigars from John & the guys took some time outside away from the gals. Mia may or may not have had a few bites of peanut butter fudge.
We did a mini-white elephant with each couple bringing something they didn’t want to keep from Christmas. I was sad when H nominated the Mr. Bubble shirt I gave him as our gift- I totally grew up with that as my bubble bath & he ordinarily likes pink shirts. Pam was the lucky recipient of the fine collector’s item instead.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Drove to Waco & back today for work, but still managed to blog!
