Christmas 2010, Round 1

We started off the holidays on Christmas Eve by hosting all my dad’s family at our new home.  Grandpa was a bit confused about where he was & wanted to go back home as soon as he arrived, but Grandma enjoyed her outing.

My cousin just received a scholarship to the University of Houston for next year & my dad was busy explaining the finer points of how to use text messaging on a deer hunt.

My aunt from Brenham was in town with her two kids & it was great to have them both present this year.

We love to host, but hate to cook- so it was lasagna for dinner this year.   As usual, the kids ended up on the Wii- trying their hand at DJ hero.

The feast included the usual staples of deviled eggs, queso, white trash (dessert) & the traditional fruit salad.

Oh my sister… OH MY! sister… it’s been a tough few weeks for her, but she does start driver’s ed in January.

We had 7 of the 9 cousins under one roof..

After an early diner, we headed up to church for Christmas Eve services & met our good friends (with some of their family) after the service.

Finally, we headed over to celebrate Christmas with H’s mom & *family*.  It was a long night, but great to spend time with friends, family & loved ones…

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY:  Last work trip of the year today to Dallas & back- only slightly delayed by the horrible weather elsewhere.

Thanks! Yes, it’s been a long, slow painful process to overhaul the blog & finish my big move from blogger. I hope it have it finally wrapped up in a few days & will probably do a “walk down blog memory lane” to recap all the changes, especially since so many people read through feed readers. Happy holidays!
