Last weekend was so beautiful here that I decided to take the girls out to a neighborhood park that we don’t get a chance to frequent very often. It’s only about 10 minutes away & has some awesome trails they can run around on, but I hate going if it’s rained recently & there is mud everywhere. Since it hasn’t rained since about October, we were safe & the dogs ended up kicking up dust clouds everywhere they ran.

I really wanted to give the new camera a work-out & so I cranked the ISO up to 1250 to 2,000 on most of these so I could get the shutter speed super-high. There are lots of out-of-focus ones still (Vizslas move at warp speed), but they are some really funny ones too.

Running back & forth, back & forth. Mia would go much deeper into the woods & off the path to chase things. That will explain how she ran into a tick. Zoe was hanging around much closer hoping to get more of the treats I had in my pocket.

Funny funny puppies! Zoe had lost track of Mia & was suddenly frightened when she started hearing noises off in the distance.

Tongues flailing & tails wagging- they had a great time!

Then the found a stick & the big fight was on to see who would chew it- Zoe always wins!

I tried several times to get a good picture of them both, but they were still waaay too distracted by all the sights, sounds and smells.

I did manage to grab one nice one of the two of them, even if they weren’t looking at me. All in all, a great visit & I learned that I fill up my memory card WAAAY to fast when I shoot on continuous burst mode- oops!
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Officially off work until next week- now to start on my Christmas shopping!

Romps through the woods are the best. Nothing better than pictures of Vs racing on a nature trail. I wish I had a built-in buddy to race with on our trail walks so that we didn’t have to schedule huge meetups. I love to hike with my V friends. Great pictures, ladies!
Kisses,
Laila
