After our three morning vineyards, we headed back to our lovely room for an afternoon nap & some R&R before heading out around sunset. Our last stop on our wine tour was at Grape Creek Vineyards on Saturday evening.

It’s a good sign when you pull up and people are sitting around a fire ring at picnic tables drinking wine & watching the cows come home at dusk.

I’d consider Grape Creek on of the “main” vineyards/wineries off Highway 290 & it appeared fairly new & large. The design has a decidely Italian/Tuscan theme.

There are two tasting bars inside, along with a fairly large shop with wine accessories and gifts, including some small snacks.

They had lots of scrumptious wines to taste….

We did the usual wine tasting & the grabbed a glass to sit outside and enjoy the sunset with a few other folks.

They do have a killer view of the sun setting through the trees & across the vineyards.

We were there on a perfect night & enjoyed the entertainment as the sky turned glorious shades of pinks, blue, yellows and purples.

There were lots of people sitting outside enjoying the show, bundling up in the cool evening air & listening to the live music on the porch.

I really wish I could be outside for every sunrise and sunset to see all the sky in all it’s awesomeness.

We headed back to town to grab dinner after the sunset, but the place had their party lights going & looked magical.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: All my Christmas cards were finished up this weekend & in the mail today.

Look at those walls! That’s the perfect place to ride out the zombie apocalypse! Stone barriers, food, wine, cattle …
