Just a few miles down the road was our next stop at the lovely & charming Singing Water Vineyards. I just loved the thought of singing water & their olden style barns were adorable.

Two of my favorite things- wine & clocks! We really enjoyed our stop here as we were pretty much alone at the bar visiting with the server, talking about their winery, tasting yummy wines.

It was such a fun time of year to visit all these places as they were all decorated for Christmas & had so many trinkets that could make great Christmas gifts.

It’s a wee bit out of focus, but it was still very nice of her to take our photo!

The other cool thing about the vineyards is that the grapes were right there, they had their own large garden outside, and there was a super neat little outdoor sitting area down by the creek.

Heading back into town we stopped by Das Peach Haus, where we were tempted with many tasty treats. Hubby settled on the old-style (with real sugar) Dr. Pepper and…

…some homemade peach cobbler with Blue Bell ice cream for lunch. Eating on vacation is the best
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Yesterday was the most gorgeous winter day here in Houston, where you can sit outside for brunch drinking Mimosas & watching the wind gently blow all the leaves off the trees.
