I’d enjoyed the B&B scene in Frederciksburg last time, so we decided to go that route again & we booked the Paradise Loft, right on main street through Absolute Charm. We picked up the keys just before 6 & then headed back to town where where we were blown away by our gorgeous room! It was well decorated & extremely spacious.

We loved the big TV & enjoyed the luxury of laying in bed watching a few movies. The over-sized whirlpool by the fireplace was a romantic touch & the bathroom was super swanky too with it’s jumbo shower & dual shower heads.

It was great being so close to all the shops & restaurants down town. The fridge kept our wine cold, even though it was 20 degrees out Friday night.

If the weather had been warmer & we hadn’t been so busy checking out wineries, I know we would have spent time out on the lovely porch watching the crowds pass by below us. My only small complaint is that the room is on a major highway, US 290, so there could be some noise when loud trucks went through. They did provide a white noise machine & the noise grew significantly quieter as the evening went on.

There are so many fun shops & the holidays are a fantastic time to visit Fredericksburg. I loved window shopping from our room! If you are looking to rent a B&B in the Fredericksburg or Hill Country area, I highly recommend Absolute Charm. They have dozens of properties in the city & surrounding countryside. They were easy & pleasant to work with, plus very helpful with everything.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Signed up for a training class in Baltimore for March/April & can’t wait to visit the area for springtime.
