Driftwood Vineyard

Next stop was just down the road at Driftwood Vineyards, a small cozy little place with a stunning view on the valley & vineyards below. Everything was fairly brown the last weekend in November, but I’d love to see this view in early spring.

They have a small tasting room & a large pavilion that would be great for special events.

The inside has a cozy feel as several couples can stand around the bar & enjoy the views outside while sipping some wines.

The main attraction here is definitely sitting outside on the ledge watching the sunset, so much so that they had a place to recycle all the bottles & glasses!

Wished we could have stayed with these folks enjoying a glass & the view, but we had to get to Fredericksburg and check-in to our B&B before 6PM.

I love when wineries/vineyards are clustered together & you can hit up more than 1 in an area, so it was great having Driftwood Vineyards & Duchman Family Winery so close together.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY:  Finally brought out my Vibram 5-finger shoes & started slowly breaking them in.
