I’ve officially had my new Nikon D7000 in my excited little hands for 12 days & I’ve taken over 700 photos with the Philadelphia trip, Thanksgiving & out trip to the hill country. I was so excited to finally get it & I couldn’t be bothered (slowed down!) to read the directions. My first photos were of the girls.

This was actually photo 4, once I figured out that the time delay was on the shutter. They didn’t come out as great as I’d like & I really got to put the camera through it’s paces on my trips & was thrilled with my new toy- especially in l0w-light.

The pups weren’t very cooperative as it was their first time out for the afternoon & they were more interested in being rowdy & chasing things in the bushes.

Oh-and Mia was bugging the crapola out of Zoe!

I took quite a few crappy shots before I got all the settings right, but I thought this one came out very cool & was pretty representative of my hyper-action dog.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: My sweet little baby brother is finally taller than I am and still growing!

Not that you don’t always take great pictures of the girls, but wow!
Kisses,
Laila (and her mom Renee)
