I wanted to play around a bit more with my rented lens & I’d seen many other blogger’s self-portraits. I thought it would be a great excuse to dust off the tripod & find my remote. It was much harder than it looked! I took a few series before I finally found a setting I liked & then it took me numerous shots to get the focus just right- since the depth of field is so narrow on that lens & I couldn’t focus on myself in front of the camera if I was behind it making adjustments.

The fun with a tripod is that it remains stationary & makes funny photos when only one object in the photo is moving.

The dogs really couldn’t stand it that I wasn’t giving them proper attention! I had the shutter speed set very low & it was not nearly fast enough to keep up with my speed demon dog.

Lots of work but I finally got one that I was reasonably satisfied with for a few minutes playing around. I think I’ll try to do this exercise more in the future as it is great practice to really slow down and focus on the technical aspects of photography.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: My new camera shipped & will be here on Tuesday! WOOHOO!!!!

I could swear that’s Tucker going by in that last vizsla shot.
