Halloween 2010

The past two Halloweens we have taken the boys out Trick-or-Treating.  This year, we decided to stay home, relax and pass out candy.  We harvested our first lime from our lime tree in the backyard to add to H’s favorite drink- the Cuba Libre.  I made London Broil steak from a Sugar Pie meal & we had a few fall leaves on our front yard tree.

I decided that my poison would be a delicious bottle of 7 Deadly Zins to accompany my cheese, cracker & cashew plate. I just loved the short poem on the back of the bottle!

I made the mistake of letting H pick up candy & he decided we needed 4 bags!  We put the dogs in their room & sat out in our driveway passing out candy once the sun set.  Our neighbors decorated their yard & there were a few other houses on our street, but it was pretty quiet.  I think all the kids & families had partied Friday & Saturday nights, so we ended up with a ton of left over candy.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY:  Last Saturday at home with hubby this month before all the traveling madness begins- we’re doing lots of R&R!
