A Fall Swim

When I first received my rental lens a few weeks ago, I couldn’t wait to take pictures & play around with it.  Luckily, I always have the perfect models nearby.  The lens was awesome because it has such a shallow depth of field & blurs the backgrounds beautifully.  The two shots above illustrate different focus points- the left focus is on Mia’s eyes & the right focus is on the end of her nose.

Mia was a little jumping bean that day- there is a squirrel that runs along that fence & plays in the tree.

Zoe wasn’t too thrilled to have more photos & Mia hopped right in the pool (and laid down!) when I wasn’t looking.

I couldn’t believe that Mia wasn’t bothered by the cool water, but she swam happily.  My mom was making whistling sounds with the Coke bottles & the dogs were both very interested.

Zoe’s face is getting really light/white.  Although her muzzle is almost completely white, she’s still getting lots of other light hair mixed in with her regular cinnamon ones.

Mia was climbing all over the rocks trying to get closer to her prey.

Zoe on her throne, waiting for a towel rubdown even though she didn’t go swimming.

Note: Apologies again if you are reading this on the blog & not a feed reader.  I was anticipating my blog being re-sized to accommodate 900 pixels by now & the photos were formatted as such when I created them.  They don’t fit right now, but hopefully they will appear normal in the future when the blog is updated.  Sorry!
