Wedding Ceremony

That morning after my jog, I got ready in our room with my mom & all the other gals.  My dad came upstairs so we could spend a few mintues together & he walked me down to do a “first look” with my soon-to-be husband.

We opted to see each other before the wedding so we could take some shots alone & with the wedding party at the beach before heading up to the hills where our venue was located.

If photos are important to you, I highly recommend seeing each other before the ceremony.  It gives you two a few quiet minutes together to soak it all in & just experience an amazing peace before having to stand up in front of the crowd.

The ceremony & reception took place at Terra Noble Spa, a holistic oasis set in the hills above Puerto Vallarta over looking the town & the ocean below.

Have I mentioned how adorable my brother & sister are?  They were gorgeous & handsome!

All the guests took a bus from the hotel & the groomsmen seated the moms, with H seating his mom.

John walked me to the end of the aisle & the my dad walked me up to the alter & gave me away.

Finally to the most important part!

We were lucky enough to be able to bring our pastor from our church to Mexico to perform the ceremony for us.  We exchanged rings, did a sand ceremony, had our friends read some special scriptures, had an acoustic trio as our background music.

There’s nothing like standing there, surrounded by friends & family, with a breathtaking view, hundreds of miles from home and knowing that life couldn’t be anymore perfect than this moment I married the love of my life.

Kisses, tears, laughter, passion, forever.

Sheer joy- there’s no other words to describe those first moments as husband & wife, smiles & cheers all around, complete bliss blocks out everything else in the world, the months of preparation & stress melt away as the realization that you’ve crossed the finish line & it’s time to party!

So beautiful! Really makes me wish I had pushed for a wedding instead of just doing the JoP thing. Oh well, we’re hoping to renew our vows at year 25–just 4 years away.
