Last weekend (squee! I’m caught up to only a week behind now!), Saturday was gorgeous & there was nothing on our agenda, so we headed up towards the hill country to check out a few local wineries. There are literally dozens now in the state & a few less than an hour away. Our first stop was at Windy Winery, on the outskirts of Brenham.
A short little drive through the country & you arrive at their tasting room…
There was actually a state-wide event going on last weekend, so there were many guests there trying out the wines.
We stood at the bar & tasted a few wines before moving on to the next place. Their tasting room is definitely a place where you try the wine passing through- not a big place to stay & enjoy a bottle.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Woke up in Detroit this morning & will go to sleep in Illinois…
