Last Saturday morning, we headed out to the big dog park a few miles from our house. I don’t think we’d been since our New Year’s Play Day & Mia was quickly frolicking in the mud puddle.

We took 2 tennis balls & knew they would soon be a donation to the park. The dogs played with them a bit, but Mia was more interested in everything else.

Running, retrieving, jumping swimming, frolicking!

Zoe was…well, not that happy to be hanging out with other dogs. She doesn’t play run or chase much. I was surprised that she actually got in the water to retrieve a stick.

Mia didn’t seem to mind the cool water at all & was a fetching/jumping machine.

Did I mention my gorgeous husband went with us? He rocks & I love him for going with me, holding the treats & throwing the ball.

He totally got slimed by a dog while sitting there, but he was a good sport about it and a good sporting about holding the pink leash.

But he throws it too far sometimes….Mia has a prety short attention span and can get distracted before reaching the ball!

Run & play puppies! They had such a great time- hopefully we can get back more often.

Just one more picture of Zoe. She hurt her leg somehow at the park- we didn’t see anything, but she suddenly started holding her back left leg in the air. She’s favoring it less this week, but not back to 100% normal. Both dogs did enjoy a 5.5 mile run with me yesterday morning & Zoe seemed to be doing OK.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: No big plans for today….a nice relaxing Saturday before a crazy-hectic few weeks coming up.

Your pictures are always so amazing! hugs & kisses to Zoe. Hope she’s better.
