Our last & final stop on our whirlwind weekend in Pennsylvania was at Citizens Bank Park to watch a Philadelphia Phillies game.

This makes 17 stadiums that hubby has checked out on his quest to tour them all.

The stadium is outside of downtown proper & right next to the football field.

That’s a better picture! The sun was BLAZING that day & unfortunately, we had front right hot-tamale seats inside.

I’ll confess I’m not really into baseball. I do enjoy checking out all the food, drinks & treats at all the ballparks. Although Stephanie has only been in Philly about a year, she’s already a die-hard Phillies fan. She was trying her first water ice, an Italian name for a snow cone!

Seat were ridiculously expensive! I did wait until the last minute, but we were waaaay up in the upper decks.

The had a very special opening ceremony for the big holiday weekend, with all the state flags being brought out onto the field.

See the sun? It was mega-intense!

Forget about balls & bats, I’m checking out all the fun stuff- like this guy.

One more super neat thing was a giant liberty bell that swung back & forth with sparkles when they Phillies hit a home run.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Officially done with Philly trip photos & with this morning’s 22 mile training run, I am officially done with training- bring on the Philly Marathon!
